Description

One of the best supported distros around and an expected default in a lot of cases, such as application downloads, user guides and tutorials.

Unfortunately, the company behind it, Canonical, have a lot of bad practices.
These include:

• Redirecting apt install commands to an equivalent snap without the users consent.
• Advertising "pro" support features they offer inside the console MOTD.
• Advertising "pro" support features inside the package manager.
• Bundled Sponsor programs/links on the desktop.

I recommend you use Mint instead if you want an Ubuntu based system.
